Logistics Program — Isparta Vocational School of Higher Education

OverviewProgram Introduction

Isparta Vocational School of Higher Education (IVSHE) was established in 1976. In 1977, the school began offering two vocational programs to 140 students. In 1982, following the reorganization of higher education institutions under the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), it was affiliated with Akdeniz University. With the founding of Süleyman Demirel University (SDU) in 1992, it was transferred to SDU. During the restructuring in 2008, technically oriented programs were moved to Isparta Technical Sciences Vocational School (TBMYO), after which IVSHE continued its educational activities with programs focused on social sciences and the service sector. In 2018, Isparta University of Applied Sciences (ISUBU) was established under Law No. 7141, and IVSHE was affiliated with ISUBU.

The Logistics Program under the Department of Management and Organization was established within Isparta Vocational School of Higher Education in the 2012–2013 academic year. The program was launched with the aim of training qualified associate-level professionals for today's rapidly evolving trade and supply chain world, and has been making significant contributions to the regional logistics sector since its inception.

Offering a two-year associate degree, the program provides a comprehensive curriculum covering core areas such as transportation systems, warehouse and inventory management, e-commerce, supply chain management, customs regulations, and foreign trade. Embracing a hands-on educational approach alongside theoretical training, the program facilitates early industry engagement through its 3+1 vocational training model, enabling students to gain professional experience.

Given the growing strategic importance of the logistics sector both domestically and globally, the educational opportunities offered by the program are of outstanding value. Graduates may pursue careers across a wide range of sectors including cargo, distribution and freight companies; air, sea, rail, and road logistics firms; free zones; manufacturing enterprises; warehousing and distribution centers; customs brokerage firms; and e-commerce companies.

Supported by the academic expertise and experienced faculty of Isparta Vocational School of Higher Education, the Logistics Program aims to offer students not merely a profession, but a long-term career path in a continually evolving sector.

Accreditation Our program has applied for accreditation from the Vocational Education Evaluation and Accreditation Association (MEDEK) in the Spring Semester of the 2025–2026 Academic Year.
